With more than 27 years of experience
in the portable sanitation industry, Sebastian will present an
update on the various facets of this business form a worldwide
perspective. Sebastian created the Spanish AESPE and the Italian
ANIOBAM associations, dedicated to the development of portable
sanitation in their respective countries Spain and Italy. Since
1996, he has participated in the creation of the different European
and African markets for American portable sanitation manufacturers.
Expert since 2010 at the following entities: UNE Spanish standard
institute, CEN European Standard Institute, ISO International
standard institute. In 2010, he participated in a working group
between European Associations and started to create the first
European standard for portable sanitation, it has been published in
June 2012, EN -16194:2012. In 2013 he created the company IMEXOS
CONSULTING GROUP, a consultancy company specialized in the field of
the international portable sanitation. In 2020 as project leader, he
drives a group of international experts who created the new European
standard. This new European standard has been published in 2023. EN
- 16194:2023. In 2020, he managed to change the text of an
international ISO standard that wanted to close portable toilets on
beaches. The new text obliges to put toilets on beaches all over the
world and to clean them compulsorily once a day (ISO-PAS/5643). In
2020 and at the height of the pandemic, Sebastian created the
International Observatory of Portable Sanitation. A body dedicated
to monitor CEN and ISO standards on a daily basis in order to detect
any possible standard that could be a threat to the portable
sanitation industry. Sebastian communicates in 5 languages, Spanish.
