Hardeep Anand has dedicated his engineering career to the advancement of public policy to benefit the environment and the community. Mr. Anand has more than 25 years of professional engineering, program management and leadership experience in the public and private sectors, which he leverages to create and implement programs that realize efficiencies and provide tangible results. As Deputy Director for the Miami Dade Water & Sewer Department, he oversees a multibillion-dollar Capital Improvement Program that delivers innovative projects with the objective of shifting from a transactional approach to water infrastructure planning, to one that will transform the water system across the region.

Speaker: Russell Leggette, Director of Marketing, Florida Pipe Trades (FL)

Russell Leggette is the Director of Marketing for the Florida Pipe Trades.  As the Director of Marketing, Russell puts a strong emphasis on solving the concerns of end users, general contractors, and sub-contractors as it relates to labor issues.  Russell has developed strategies to ensure long term relationships by understanding the needs of both owners and clients. He believes projects are most successful due to this synergism.  A few of the end users Russell has recently worked with are; Utility Companies, Health Care Industry, and Energy Management Facilities. Russell has testified before the Florida Senate’s Commerce Committee in regards to Floridians being displaced on construction projects across the state. Those hearings led to Governor Crist signing into law, a "Preference for Floridians" on all state projects in Florida. As a Worknet of Pinellas Board member, Russell actively served on the following committees:  Business and Economic Development, Educational Ad Hoc, and Pre- Apprenticeship. Russell, also assisted Worknet of Pinellas in obtaining a million-dollar grant from the Department of Labor to train welders under the CLEAN Energy Grant. When not working, Russell enjoys boating and fishing in the great waters of Florida.

Ricardo Galeano se desempeña como Gerente Regional de Ventas para el territorio del Caribe en la compañía Innovative Water Care. Ricardo es originalmente de Colombia y reside en los Estados Unidos desde Diciembre del 2013. Su trayectoria en la industria Química le ha permitido estar involucrado en Industrias como la Textil, Construcción, Cerámica, Pinturas, Metalmecánica y Tratamiento de Aguas. En esta última se ha especializado en el tratamiento de agua de piscinas. Después de su graduación en 2009 en MBA Ricardo inició su propio negocio en la comercialización de productos químicos para la industria de tratamiento de agua potable y piscinas. Su pasión por interactuar con las personas le ha permitido desarrollar sus habilidades en el área de ventas durante los últimos 14 años.

Virgilio Martínez es Ingeniero de Medio Ambiente con más de 49 años de experiencia en el mercado doméstico e internacional en aplicaciones de filtración y desinfección.  Su experiencia abarca desde jefe departamental en el moldeo de plásticos, laboratorio, ingeniería, control de calidad, producción, aplicaciones y ventas.  Sus experiencias en el mercado Sudamericano han logrado ser de éxito rotundo en instalaciones de filtración en las aplicaciones de potabilización y tratamiento residuales para las empresas de Leopold (ITT) y DeNora, donde ahora se desempeña como Gerente de Desarrollo de Negocios – Latino América y el Caribe. (Virgilio Martinez is an Environmental Engineer with more than 49 years of experience in the domestic and international market of filtration and disinfection applications. His experience ranges from Departmental Chief in molding of plastics, laboratory, engineering, quality control, production, applications and sales. His experiences in the South American market have been a resounding success in filtration installations in the residual treatment and treatment applications for the companies Leopold (ITT) and DeNora, where he now serves as Business Development Manager - Latin America and the Caribbean).

Miguel Gutiérrez es Ingeniero Químico con más de 31 años de experiencia en el ámbito de potabilización y tratamiento de aguas residuales.  El Sr. Gutiérrez es un experto en procesos y en gerencia de productos con experiencia en investigación y desarrollo, diseño, pruebas, puesta en marcha, diagnósticos y solución, y ventas en un sin número de aplicaciones en filtración y desinfección; incluyendo, reducción ultra baja de fósforos, de-nitrificación, y potabilización en proyectos de filtración en las cuencas de la Ciudad de Nueva York, la bahía del Chesapeake y Mar de Ajó en Argentina, entre otras.  Como gerente de producto, ha diseñado y lanzado varios productos de clarificación y filtración al mercado mundial.  Fue también gerente técnico en la rehabilitación y puesta en marcha de la planta desoladora de Tampa, FL. ,la 2^da desoladora de más caudal en los EE.UU. (Miguel Gutiérrez is a Chemical Engineer with more than 31 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry. Mr. Gutiérrez is a process and product manager expert with hands on experience in R&D, design, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and sales of hundreds of filtration and disinfection projects in numerous applications. This included ultra-low phosphorus, denitrification, and potable filtration projects in the New York City Watershed, Chesapeake Bay and others.  As product manager he has designed and launched various filtration and clarification products into the marketplace.  He has also served as the technical manager in the rehabilitation of largest SWRO desalination facility in Florida)
